Glee Cafe

"I visited this charming café in Causeway Bay that faces the busy street. Even though it’s a café, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive food menu—they offer everything from rice dishes and typical café fare to a variety of noodles. I arrived during the dinner rush, so the place was packed. I noticed that most of the dishes are priced between 60 and 80 HKD, which I found to be pretty average compared to other nearby restaurants. I decided to try the beef yakisoba. The noodles were freshly made and piping hot, perfectly smothered in sauce, and absolutely delicious. The enticing aroma of the beef awakened my appetite, and the thick noodles provided a satisfying bite. The only downside was that the overall saltiness was a bit on the weak side, so I asked the staff for some extra salt and a dash of spicy sauce. Once I added them, the flavors balanced out nicely."

"Came around 10:30am, and the restaurant was not crowded. The atmosphere was very nice for a local cafe. The boss or manager was very friendly and enthusiastic. I requested a lunch dish which would only be served after 11am. However, he was willing to make it for me himself. A very pleasant dining experience."

"Tried their special menu item again, this time the Hong Kong style curry brisket rice. Their soup of the day was tasty and full of ingredients. Pork bun was toasted to crispy, and the pork chop inside very tender. Staff was very friendly and offered us a bowl to share the dishes. The decor was authentic 冰室 style, very spacious when compared to others."

"Fastfood-like HK cafe. Very reasonable prices for very delicious food. They open quite early too, so great place to grab an early breakfast here before going about your day. The menu consists of quite common HK simple and fast-prepared foods. They do have an English-language menu, but the ones for breakfast sets and desserts aren’t available in English."

"This was one of the cha chaan teng in this street. A bit old style decorated and the waitress and waiter were helpful and friendly. They opened the door to welcome the patrons and let them leave. The tables needed to be shared with others and were cleaned immediately after used. There was a long list of set meals. Coffee was brewed by machine. Price was set at a similar level in the shopping district. Octopus cards and other electronic payment methods were accepted."
